 Driver Awareness Course (DDC-4)

Get your permit at 15 years 6 months

This defensive driving course is designed and approved by the National Safety Council. The objective of this course is to increase the awareness of the need and the benefits of defensive driving. The following will be covered:

  • Driving Conditions
  • Unsafe Driving Behaviors
  • Aggressive Driving
  • Collision Prevention Formula
  • Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety
  • Drugs and their Effects on Driving
  • The Driving Environment
  • Adverse Conditions
  • Intersections/Railroad Crossings
  • Rules & Regulations for Responsible Driving
  • Driving Behaviors that Contribute to Crashes & Violations

This is a 4 hour class that will enable your student to obtain a learners permit when they are 15 years 6 months. They may take the class before they are 15 1/2, but must wait until they are 15 1/2 before the permit will be issued. The cost of this program is $97.00.

This course may also be taken in addition the the Driver Education class.

Location: Littleton High School - Room 151

When: One day a month.
