 Property Management Services

The LPS Property Management team is responsible for keeping our building facilities maintained, manages energy usage, plans for future facility needs, coordinates and directs the emergency response program, and assists in the district safety program. Property Management also maintains intergovernmental relations with other local jurisdictions working to strengthen communications and enhance community services.

Energy Management Program

The Energy Management Program monitors the use of various utility systems throughout the district, including electricity, natural gas and water, plus utility charges for treatment of waste water. The energy manager develops and implements programs designed to conserve energy and promote positive attitudes and habits among district employees and students toward the daily use of various utilities. These efforts save taxpayer dollars and have a positive effect on the environment while working to maintain comfortable conditions for students, teachers, and staff.

Facilities Planning

Facility planning monitors student enrollment and demographic changes which occur in the twenty-eight square miles within LPS boundaries. This information is used to project enrollment trends which are instrumental to annual and long-range capital improvement planning, budgeting, construction, and the coordination and revision of individual school boundaries throughout the district.
